Executive Chef, Byoung Jin Kim

Chef Byoung Jin Kim has opened and operated 11 restaurants since 2003, managed over 190 chefs, and achieved the first-ever 3 MICHELIN Star Korean restaurant in the world.

Kim actualizes the concept of cuisine with his finest techniques and kitchen management abilities.

He has and will continue to put effort into revealing the full potential of Korean cuisine. Until the day Korean cuisine and its culture are invited into each and every heart that exists, Kim will never stop fulfilling his duty as a Chef. As a Chef, Kim will always seek for ways to become a driving force in the world that leads to inspiration for progress and positive changes.

Bicena

Executive Chef, Kwangsik Jun

Chef Kwangsik Jun worked as the Sous Chef of ‘GAON’ from 2014 to 2018, and became the Executive Chef of the 1 MICHELIN Star restaurant ‘Bicena’ in February 2018.

His studies on the traditional dish have led him to present a new, modernized Korean-style cuisine, and to develop the ‘New Classic’ concept of ‘Bicena’.

Jun believes that food is a medium that links nature and people and connects person with person. He prepares his cuisine with care so that the chef can communicate with the nature, the eater can communicate with nature, and the chef and the eater can communicate with each other.
